I have a bad habit of disappearing for a long period of time and another of writing very emo-like posts which upon re-reading, I want to delete immediately but for reasons of future possible reference, will not. I also have a habit of writing very long sentences. With that aside, Happy Valentines Day… for those with sweethearts. For me, I have a batch of mint chocolate truffles that I whipped up. Things are going smoothly in life, at least for now. I’m still waiting to hear back from some law schools… *twiddles thumbs*… any minute now. But no worries, I have a few scholarship offers from schools on the table. Yep, life is ok. Maaadd senioritis is kicking in. I’ve been doing horribly (by my standards) in my classes but I don’t care. It’s all gonna be over in a few months so might as well enjoy what’s left. Instead of focusing on school, I’ve been working and cooking a lot lately to make up for the lost time last semester spent worrying about lsats and law schools. Check out foodwishes.com. Chef John is awesome! In addition to the truffles, I made pizza, chicken wings, and crepes. All so yummy! Seriously now, no major changes in update-land though this site needs massive reconstruction. Will work on it over the three-day weekend. =P I just joined a book challenge over at elocutio run by the lovely Aleida. Do it- join now! I now have two books on my list, haha. I’m not adding books I read for class cuz well, that would be cheating since I’m required to read mad books as an anthropology major. =) If you need something to read, try Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews. It’s purty good if you like Buffy-esque stuff. Last thing, I’m considering accepting hostees again cuz it’s kinda lonely here. =( I remember having a bunch in my early days of website-ing. Apply if you think you might be interested. I’m off to finish watching My Girl now. Those Korean dramas are super addictive! I think My Girl might be my favorite one so far. Last last thing- does anyone own a G1 phone? Mine keeps dropping calls like crazy. I don’t think it’s T-mobile since I’ve never had this problem with my other phones. It’s making me angry!

I know, my blog titles are really random. I finished reading A Feast for Crows, the fourth installment of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. I seriously cannot wait for the next book! It’s supposed to come out at the end of this year. I need it NOW! I can’t get enough of Sandor, a total badass and totally hot for a guy who had half of his face burned off. Ok, I know that sounds creepy, but you have to read the books.

I really should be doing homework. I’m so behind on readings but all I do is go online all day. So sad. My sister’s been nagging me to watch Hana Kimi, this Japanese drama. I’ve downloaded the episodes via Veoh. I guess I’ll start watching. The premise of the drama looks interesting, another cross-dressing girl thing a la She’s the Man. I liked She’s the Man, maybe I’ll like this one too. So bored. Hope there’s a party this weekend. Probably will be. I added some Becoming Jane icons. I don’t think I liked the movie that much, but sexual tension and heartache and angst- I like! Oh yeah and James McAvoy = yummy.

Here I am in my dorm/hotel room. The hotel’s nice enough… but so far away from campus! I walked to the grocery store today. Big mistake. Now the corns on my feet have corns, lol. I’m so BORED! I almost wish classes would start already so it would give me something to do. My roommate hasn’t arrived yet. I’m still hoping we’ll get along ok. I like having a room all to myself. I can walk around naked if I wanted to… not that I want to. Geez, the guys next door are loud. One of them knocked on my door this morning/afternoon. I just got out of bed and probably scared him with how horrible I looked! He apologized for waking me and went away. Probably just wanted to meet the neighbors. I’ve been feeling anti-social lately. More so than usual. I don’t want to go to any more frat parties! Someone suggested that I hang out more at the frat house to get a guy. Umm… no thanks. No frat guys for me. They drink too much!

Currently I am obsessed with George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire series. I think I’m obsessed with the books even more than NewS, lol. I’m on the fourth book right now, just finished the third. I’m almost scared to start reading because after I finish this one, I’ll have to wait a couple months till the fifth one comes out! Now I know how Harry Potter fans feel! I love the Sansa/Sandor relationship. It’s so… Beauty and the Beast. But then again, Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite Disney movie.

Hey all. So I waited in Barnes and Noble today for four hours so my friend could get a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Yep, I didn’t even get a copy. I’ve never even read a Harry Potter book. The movies are alright, nothing spectacular. I just can’t get into the books. I did walk away from Barnes and Noble with a free Gryffindor keychain and glow in the dark Harry Potter glasses, haha. So here’s what happens in the much anticipated final book:

Harry Potter defeats Voldemort and sinks into a deep depression which forces him to abuse heroin. Ginny dumps Harry for Neville. Ron persuades Harry to enter rehab while professing his love for Draco Malfoy. However, Hermione is pregnant with Draco’s child. Snape comes out of the closet then admits he had conspired with Dumbledore. It is revealed that Albus Dumbledore is not actually dead. He had faked his own death to claim insurance money because Hogwarts was in serious debt.

Well, there ya go. =P I actually do know the actual plot. Don’t worry, I won’t spoil it here. Hope you like the new layout. Nic Tse is amazingly gorgeous.
